Since I moved out to the West Coast, nothing has made me happier than creating my own meals.

I've grown my own produce, scavenged fruit from vineyards and backyards, sorted through rotting fruits and vegetables, and relished in the abundance of my CSA boxes.  These experiences have inspired me to get creative with my meals, to use the bounty of California to create amazing, (healthy) meals that inspire me and the people around me.

My personal view about eating healthy: do everything in moderation, use fresh fruits and vegetables, and cook with only high quality meat and seafood.  Every once in a while, you deserve a big old chunk of butter in that dish (or some cheese...).  

There is nothing more satisfying than creating a meal from scratch, knowing where each individual item came from, and seeing the look of joy on your friends faces as they take their first bite!
